  3. AceReader is a Productivity and Self-Improvement Educational reading tool.  
  4. In today's fast-paced information age, it is more important than ever to be a 
  5. proficient reader.  Everyone from high powered executives to children just 
  6. learning to read in grade school can benefit from AceReader.  It can be used
  7. to read faster while on the computer.  It can also be used in training mode for
  8. the purpose of learning how to read faster on and off the computer.

  10. AceReader utilizes two technologies: (1) RAPID SERIAL VISUAL PRESENTATION 
  11. (RSVP), and (2) TACHISTOSCOPIC SCROLL PRESENTATION.  When AceReader is in 
  12. RSVP mode, text is displayed in the center of the text area.  RSVP can be used 
  13. to read faster than normal because your eyes do not need to move.  In RSVP 
  14. mode, the words come to your eyes instead of your eyes going to the words.  
  15. When AceReader is in TACHISTOSCOPIC SCROLL PRESENTATION mode, text is 
  16. displayed in a manner that forces the readers eyes to move just like they do 
  17. in normal reading.  TACHISTOSCOPIC SCROLL PRESENTATION can be used to train the
  18. reader to read in a normal fashion at higher speeds.

  22.    - As a Productivity Tool.  Read faster while on your computer by reading in 
  23.      RSVP Mode (Center Text Mode).  AceReader can be used to rapidly read and
  24.      skim text found in documents and your clipboard.  Using the clipboard 
  25.      allows for reading text from other applications like your favorite word 
  26.      processor and text from the Internet (i.e. web pages, email, news 
  27.      groups...).

  29.    - As a Self-Improvement Educational Tool.  Learn to read faster both on and 
  30.      off your computer by practicing to read in Tachistoscopic Scroll Mode 
  31.      (Eye Trainer Scroll Mode) at configurable speed settings.  Track your 
  32.      progress by taking the reading/comprehension tests that are broken out 
  33.      by grade levels.  By practicing to read with AceReader and using the 
  34.      higher speeds, it is possible to break the habit of pronouncing each word
  35.      in your mind which leads to better reading skills in general.  Once you 
  36.      break the habit of pronouncing each word in your mind you will find 
  37.      yourself increasing the speed setting to higher and higher speeds.
